Bio
Rebecca LeFevre paints bold, abstract acrylics. Her work is inspired by personal experience, communicated in a language of layered color and texture. Rebecca’s paintings have been exhibited across New York State. While painting is her primary form of expression, Rebecca also works in a variety of mediums including clay, and more recently, site specific landscape design.
Rebecca studied at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia, then went on to earn a BA in Art History from Rutgers University with an emphasis on Conceptual Art, and a minor in Religion. Her knowledge of art history and belief systems influences her work: she sees art as historical dialogue and as a method of transmitting nonmaterial concepts into a tangible form.
Rebecca lives and works in Western New York with her husband, Erick, and their four children.
